Graduate Trainee Job Description

We are searching for an enthusiastic self-starter to join our new Engineering graduate trainee program.

As an Engineering graduate trainee, your responsibilities include shadowing various staff members, participating in learning experiences, attending meetings and workshops, and travelling to other working environments to gain practical experience. You should keep an accurate record of your time at the company and be able to pass a competency test at the end of the program.

To be successful as a Engineering graduate trainee, you should be willing to learn about aspects of the company that lie outside of your department. An outstanding graduate trainee should foster good relationships with staff members and leave a lasting imprint.

Engineering Graduate Trainee Responsibilities:

  1. Gathering as much information on the company and participating in on-the-job training, classroom training sessions and shadowing senior engineers.
  2. Understand new requirements and come up with design for new features.
  3. Handling problems reported from the field and coming up with quick resolution, workaround, recovery and fixes.
  4. Assisting the development manager with all aspects of software design and coding.
  5. Attending and contributing to company development meetings.
  6. Create and maintain documentation for code, designs, and procedures.
  7. Writing and maintaining code and working on minor bug fixes.
  8. Producing clean, efficient code based on specifications.
  9. Testing and deploying programs and systems.
  10. Fixing and improving existing software.
  11. Recommend and execute improvements.
  12. Bringing positive energy into the company, and forming lasting professional relationships with staff.
  13. Upholding the good name of the company at all times.
  14. Writing a test or submitting to some other form of evaluation at the end of the graduate program.


Engineering Graduate Trainee Requirements:

  1. BE/B Tech degree in any discipline. Only 2024 course completing candidates
  2. Basic ERP Knowledge, such as ERPNext, SAP, Oracle’s SaaS ERP, MS Dynamics or similar.
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  4. Knowledge of business processes, ERP development tools, and coding languages such Python and JavaScript.
  5. Excellent research abilities and a willingness to grow.
  6. Superb problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  7. A positive attitude and a growth mindset.
